45-minute export · 10-second revision
Spend render time on the parts that need it. Keep more time for the next creative decision.
Set the filename, destination, format and range in Resolve. RenderPatch works with your queued export.
Your footage stays on your workstation. Rendering and assembly happen locally.
A reference. A revision. A new master.
Set your export in Resolve and start it from RenderPatch. Resolve renders the full timeline; RenderPatch records a reference.
Change a shot, adjust an edit or revise several sections. Add your next export to the Resolve queue, as usual.
Start from the export window. RenderPatch reuses a compatible master, renders the affected ranges and assembles a complete new file.
See the difference
A revised shot shouldn’t mean rendering every unchanged frame again. Here’s how a compatible reference becomes your next master.
The first full export gives RenderPatch a compatible reference.
Illustration: a recorded full master is reused after two changes. Resolve rerenders the affected ranges and RenderPatch assembles a complete new export. A compatible reference and matching settings are required. The illustration does not show the product interface or actual render times.
Measured on a real Resolve export
A 10-second Zoom and audio edit on a 45-minute export. RenderPatch recalculated 13.84 seconds including safety margins, reused the unchanged frames and assembled the complete new master. The timed comparison includes analysis, rendering and assembly.
What affects the resultAll 67,500 video frames and PCM audio matched the independent full.
Built around post-production
RenderPatch adds a focused export window alongside Resolve. The Agent handles the connection and updates in the background.
Prepare exports where you already know how. Keep control of your format, destination and in/out range.
The patch is part of the process. The result is a complete export you can review, share or deliver.
When a reference or effect can’t be validated for reuse, RenderPatch asks Resolve for a full export.

Incremental exports: Resolve Studio on Windows and macOS, with compatible MOV/ProRes files.
An active plan is required. Premiere Pro integration is coming soon.
The details
RenderPatch saves time on revised exports in DaVinci Resolve Studio. It reuses the unchanged parts of a compatible previous export and renders the affected ranges, whether you changed one shot or several. You still get a complete new master.
Not automatically. For now, set up the first full export in Resolve and start it from the RenderPatch panel. Resolve does the rendering; RenderPatch records the reference needed for your next revisions.
If the reference is incompatible or reuse cannot be established safely, RenderPatch chooses a full Resolve export. If an operation fails or is canceled, it reports the outcome and protects the previous output. The time saved depends on how much has changed and the export workflow.
Incremental rendering currently supports compatible MOV/ProRes workflows. Keep matching codec, resolution and frame rate. Validated edits and grades can use a patch. Complex or opaque Color, Fusion and OFX effects may require a full export when reuse cannot be established safely. Review the completed master before delivery.
No. Timeline analysis, rendering and master assembly happen on your workstation. Only account and license checks use the online service.
The first release integrates with DaVinci Resolve Studio on Windows and macOS. Adobe Premiere Pro support is coming soon.
Each plan includes a fixed number of active machines. You can review and deactivate machines from your dashboard when you need to move a license to another workstation.
